Kenny Williams
Chicago White Sox Executive Vice President Kenny Williams takes great pride in his legacy. He was only the second African-American general manager — after the late, great Bob Watson — to put together a World Series winning team. That year, he promised that if the White Sox won the World Series, he would bring the entire team to the still fledgling Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. They won, he brought the team, and it was an important moment in the history of the museum.
“I’ll never forget the look on (Negro Leagues Museum president) Bob Kendrick’s face,” Williams says.
